Masters Athletics Records

Track & Field and Road Racing Records

These records are sanctioned by the Alberta Director of Canadian Masters Athletics (CMA). Alberta athletes are invited to submit performances which better the listed Alberta Masters or Sub-Masters records. If there is no previous record, a submitted performance will automatically establish a new record until a superior one is submitted. Only records set at meets sanctioned by provincial, national or international athletic organizations will be accepted. Track times must be from electronic timing and be accurate to one-hundredth of a second or hand-timed in accordance with Canadian Masters Athletics regulations for distances longer than 400 metres. In accordance with provincial, national and international standards for the appropriate outdoor events, only a wind speed of 2 metres per second or less is acceptable for a record to be ratified. Only gun times, and not chip times, can be accepted for road race records.
