Placing an emphasis on FUN, FAIRPLAY, and PARTICIPATION.

The Live Active Multisport Camp is aligned with the Sport & Physical Activity Long Term Development stages of “Learn to Train” and “Train to Train”. Each day will be divided between four core areas: volleyball, athletics, basketball, and the fundamentals of athlete performance.

The Volleyball curriculum will review the basics of volleyball: forearm and overhand passing, hitting, serving and basic team tactics and sportsmanship. By following the Atomic Volleyball, Smashball & Tripleball formats the camp will increase ball contacts, rallies and foster proper skill development.

The Athletics section will develop skills included in Athletics Canada’s Run, Jump, Throw, Wheel program.  There will also be a focus on specific track & field skills related to sprints, jumps, and throwing events.

The Basketball curriculum will follow Canada Basketball’s Dribble, Pass, Shoot principles and include skill development, sportsmanship, and the love for the game while getting back on the court safely. Basic team concepts and strategies will be integrated into fun games and 3X3 contests!

The Athlete Performance section is designed to improve strength, speed, coordination, balance, and fundamental movement skills. By introducing proper movement prep and cool-down techniques an emphasis will be placed on injury prevention.  The goal in this part of camp is to give participants tools to improve their overall athleticism and become better performers in their future chosen sport.
