We are saddened to report that Carol Kyle, a fixture on the track and field scene, died on January 24, 2021, at the age of 84. On behalf of Athletics Alberta and the CALTAF Board, coaches, and members, we offer our deepest sympathies and our sincere appreciation for the legacy that Carol provided to the community as a co-founder of CALTAF over sixty years ago. A community is measured by the strength of its volunteer contributors, and Carol Kyle is truly one of its dedicated and inspirational leaders. Countless volunteers, officials, athletes, coaches, and parents alike have been touched by Carol’s legacy, and for that, we are all left much the better.
