[dt_fancy_separator]

Track and Field in Edmonton is a year-round sport and now is the time to begin your career as a track and field official by attending our introductory officiating clinic. Everybody is welcome!

When: Saturday January 18, 2020 from 9:30 AM to noon
Where: Room VVC 2-227, Van Vliet Complex, University of Alberta
Cost: Free of charge!

Track and field meets require a large number of officials. This is to ensure that our meets run smoothly, that rules are followed and that athletes compete under the fairest possible conditions. We are always looking for additional officials and would be happy to welcome you to our ranks.

Our officials are volunteers and give as much, or as little time as they choose.

Opportunity to practice you training can be do at both indoor and outdoor meets. Currently we are in the indoor season until the end of March. In Edmonton, indoor meets are held at the Universiade Pavilion located at the U of A, also nicknamed the Butterdome. Outdoor meets take place on outdoor rubberized track surfaces in Edmonton, St. Albert, Leduc, and Sherwood Park.

Our competitions cater to athletes who range in age from U10 (9 years old and younger) to masters–and all age groups in between.

To register for the clinic please email Philippa directly at pfairb1 @ gmail.com or for more information contact Philippa Fairbairn at 780-435-5029/ or via email
