2015 World Masters T&F Championships

The Rhône-Alpes Athletics League is one of the most dynamic of our country.
Welcoming national and international competitions, whether they be on track, indoor , on road or mountain trails, it has also a wealth of veteran licensees, managers or athletes.
After organizing numerous international events under the auspices of the French Athletics Federation , such as the World Cross Country Championships or the European Cup, Marcel FERRARI, President of the League and its Steering Committee wished to bid for the organization of the World Masters Championships in 2015.
The success was there, for on July 14, 2011 (National holiday in France!) Lyon was elected host city in 2015 , after a rich and intense marketing campaign.
Lyon is known for its vibrancy and beauty of the region , making it one of the three most attractive cities in Europe . Many international shows and events take place there, thanks to its ease of transport and quality of accommodation.
The Rhône-Alpes Athletics League , thanks to the support of all its local and regional authorities, the French Athletics Federation, the World Masters Athletics , all its volunteers and clubs are committed to offer the best conditions so that the athletes keep an excellent memory of their stay on our territory.
