Following consultation with our board of directors, Dr. Linda Blade has stepped down from her position as president of Athletics Alberta effective immediately.
Linda had served as president of the association for nine years. During that time, Linda committed her enthusiasm to the sport through coaching and advocacy.
Acting president, Stuart York notes, “We have an experienced staff and board that will lead us through the transition until we have a new president in place. Athletics Alberta is on solid ground and has the leadership that is well positioned to meet the challenges of the growth that our sport is experiencing here in Alberta and Canada.”
