Athletics Canada and the Canadian Olympic Committee have announced the roster of Team Canada athletics athletes nominated to compete at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. We are thrilled to share our Alberta athletes headed to the Olympics are:
Marco Arop – Headed to his second Olympics with a National time of 1:43.71 in the Men’s 800m. Marco is also the Canadian and World Champion in the 800m. (Edmonton)
Rory Linkletter – Marathoner Rory Linkletter will make his Olympic debut at the 2024 Paris Olympics after setting a personal best time of 2:08:01 at the Seville Marathon in February 2024. (Calgary)
Malachi Murray – Accomplished sprinter, Malachi Murray, will make his debut at the Olympics this year running the Men’s 4x100m relay with Canada’s best.
