In competing at the Leduc Classic Zone 5 Trials Meet or outstanding results in school meets and by providing your declaration form, we are expecting you to participate on the team. We had the most amount of athletes declare for zone 5 and it was super hard having to pick this team because of all of your awesome performances. I also had very few Youth Women declare (4 in total) so I have had to move midget age athletes up to youth category that were at the top in performance in this category. I have not placed you in the youth category unless I knew you would be exceptional even in this category.
If this commitment to the team can no longer be met please respond right away by clicking on “reply all” to this email and notifying us of your withdrawal from the team. This prompt reply can assure another athlete can be placed on the team as we have a lot of alternates awaiting this privilege.
The events you have been selected for are attached. Each event can only have two athletes per category i.e. 2 x midget girl long jumpers, 2 x midget boy 100m sprinters. If you do see an event with only one checkmark in total for that event and you would like to do that event please let me know! Also if I put you in an additional event that isn’t your strongest event please keep an open mind. We just need points per event we don’t expect you to carry any pressure on a new event you would do for the team!
Relay Teams – Relay teams are made at the meet. Due to injuries or fatigue it is difficult to plan the relay team this early. So please expect if you are a sprinter, mid distance, long distance, hurdler or jumper you may be asked to run on the relay team.
