With Alberta’s growing air quality fluctuations Athletics Alberta would like to tentatively adopt and promote the guide of Air AWARE. “7”.
Athletics Alberta’s official air quality policy release will be in approved, adopted, and promoted in a timely fashion.
If the Air Quality Index is a measure of 7 one hour before the competition or training has begun the competition or training must be either:
- Delayed in time for air quality to improved with all concerned parties MUST approve the resume or to begin the competition or training, or
- Postponed and the affected parties notified immediately, or
- All activities cancelled.
