With great sadness, the family of Phil Booth announces his passing on September 20, 2025, at the age of 79. Phil is survived by his partner Irene; children: Kerry (Ray), Michelle, Donna (Darren), Alaina (Ian), and Jeff; grandchildren: Jessica, Brandon, Leigh, Jimmy, Cole and Violet, as well as many other cherished friends and family members. He was predeceased by his wife Bonnie.
Phil was born in Manchester, England and was a passionate lifelong Manchester City Football Club fan. He dedicated his life to teaching, both as an elementary teacher with Edmonton Public for over 30 years, and as the founder and long-time coach for the Edmonton Harriers Track and Field Club. He lived life to the fullest and enjoyed a busy retirement full of travel and dance.
A Celebration of Phil’s Life will be held on October 24, 2025, at 10:00 a.m., at Southwood Community League Hall, 1880 37 St NW, Edmonton, Alberta
In lieu of flowers, donations in Phil’s honour may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation..
